Community Guidelines
Effective Date: 30 August 2026 | Version 1.0
Supersedes nothing — these Guidelines are published for the first time
Nureo Pty Ltd | ABN 84 696 935 154 | 25 South Street, West Wodonga VIC 3690
1. What these Guidelines are
Nureo has a feed, circles, challenges and direct messages. These Guidelines set out what is and is not acceptable when you post in any of them.
They form part of the Terms of Service — clause 10.4 incorporates them — so breaking them is breaking the Terms. We have written them in plain language because a rule nobody reads protects nobody.
They apply to everything you contribute: posts, comments, photographs, circle names, challenge entries, direct messages, your display name and your profile.
2. The short version
Nureo is a place where people talk about their bodies, their food and their health. That only works if it is safe to be honest here.
- Be decent to people.
- Do not give medical advice you are not qualified to give.
- Do not promote disordered eating, in any direction.
- Post your own things, not other people's.
- If something is wrong, report it rather than fighting it.
3. Health and food content
Share your experience, not a diagnosis. You are welcome to say what you ate, what you changed and how you felt. You are not welcome to tell another member what condition they have, what to take for it, or to stop a treatment.
Do not present yourself as a practitioner unless you are one. Practitioners on Nureo hold a listed profile that says what they are registered or accredited as. Do not imply clinical authority you do not have.
Do not post false or dangerous health information. That includes claims that a food or supplement cures, treats or prevents a disease, and anything that would put someone at risk if they believed it.
Do not sell. No promotion of products, supplements, programmes, referral codes or affiliate links, whether or not you profit from it. Practitioners may describe their own services on their own profile and in their own workspace, and nowhere else.
4. Disordered eating
This is the rule we enforce most strictly, and we would rather remove ten acceptable posts than leave one harmful one up.
We do not permit content that promotes disordered eating, extreme restriction, purging, fasting as punishment, or the glorification of weight loss or body shape. That includes goal weights presented as an aspiration for others, "what I eat in a day" posts framed around how little it is, before-and-after images used to sell a method, and numeric targets aimed at anyone but yourself.
We also do not permit content that shames anyone for what they eat or how their body looks — including your own body, in terms that would harm someone reading it.
If you are worried about your own eating or someone else's, the Butterfly Foundation National Helpline is 1800 33 4673, every day. If someone is in immediate danger, call 000.
We may remove this kind of content without warning, and we may suspend an account over a single post.
5. Other people
Be decent. No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity.
Do not post other people's private information — anyone's address, phone number, health information, or photographs of them without their agreement. This includes screenshots of private messages and of practitioner consultations.
Do not post images of children other than your own, and think carefully before posting your own.
Leave people alone when they ask. If someone blocks you, do not contact them another way.
6. Your content
Post what is yours. Do not post someone else's photographs, writing or video as your own, and do not post material you do not have the right to share.
Product labels are an exception with a limit. Photograph a label to use Nureo's features or to submit a correction. Do not post label photographs for any other purpose — the packaging and artwork belong to the manufacturer.
No spam. No repetitive posting, engagement farming, bulk messaging, or automated posting of any kind.
No impersonation. Do not use a display name, photograph or profile that suggests you are someone else, a practitioner you are not, or Nureo itself.
7. Reporting, and what we do about it
Posts, comments, direct messages, seminar messages and member profiles can all be reported from within the app, as can a product record or a scanned label. You can also block any member at any time.
Nuri's replies cannot be reported in-app yet. If Nuri tells you something that looks wrong or unsafe, email support@nureo.com.au and we will look at it — please do that rather than assume we have seen it.
We review what is reported. Depending on what we find we may leave the content up, remove it, restrict who can see it, warn the member, limit their access to community features, or close the account. We act faster and harder on anything under section 4 or involving a risk to someone's safety.
If you think we have got a decision wrong, email support@nureo.com.au and a person will look at it again.
8. Changes
We may update these Guidelines. If a change materially affects what you may post, we will tell you before it takes effect. The version and date at the top of this page always reflect the current Guidelines.
